This improved type of Stay Rod combines the
Bucknill method of tightening with our "Gripper" attachment
for stay wire .
The perfect rod in addition to providing a neat and efficient
method of securing the wire, also has the advantage that
assembly in the field can be carried out by unskilled labour.
The grippers are suitable for wires upto 38 tons (38,610
Kgs.) tensible strength.
When ordering, the diameter and stranding of the wire must
be stated.
The stay rod does not include the pole clip with its gripper.
Method of Fixing - Insert end of wire in "Grippers" and
tighten as much as possible with the hexagon nut. Put the
necessary strain on the pole by means of the Bucknill nut.
Finally give another turn to the hexagon nut as the gripper
may have pulled into the boss slightly.
